Oathly ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Summary: Your oath data, reflections, and personal progress stay on your device. We don't collect, store, or sell your personal information.
Information We Collect
Oathly is designed with privacy at its core. Here's what you should know:
Data Stored Locally on Your Device:
- Your daily oaths and selections
- Night accounting results (held/broke status)
- Reflections and notes you write
- XP, rank, streaks, and badges
- Quest progress and history
- App settings and preferences
- Notification preferences and reminder times
This data is stored locally using your device's secure storage (AsyncStorage) and is not transmitted to our servers.
Subscription Information
If you purchase a premium subscription:
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store)
- We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status
- We receive anonymous subscription status information (active/inactive) but not your payment details
- Your purchase history and billing information are managed by Apple
Analytics and Crash Reporting
We may use Expo Insights to collect anonymous usage analytics and crash reports. This helps us improve app stability and performance. This data:
- Does not include personally identifiable information
- Does not include your oath data, reflections, or progress
- Is used solely for app improvement purposes
Notifications
Oathly may request permission to send local push notifications for morning and night reminders. These notifications:
- Are scheduled and triggered locally on your device
- Do not require internet connectivity
- Can be disabled at any time in Settings
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Your oath journey is yours alone.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on your device until you choose to delete it. You can reset all data at any time in the app settings. Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
Oathly is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
